CHERYL’S STORY

Burnout just didn’t happen to me overnight.  It was a gradual creep up.

My job was highly demanding, requiring long hours and regular interstate travel, all while I managed the responsibilities of being a single mother to two young children.

I was saying yes to everything and everyone who needed my time and energy.

I was also navigating intense emotional challenges, including grief, loss, and significant personal upheaval.

This all led me to my own experiences with anxiety, stress and burnout.

I have always been fiercely independent, however I realised that sometimes the stress and anxiety that life deals us from time to time, is much bigger than what we can handle on our own.

I raised my hand for help and I’m glad I did.  I felt relieved and much lighter talking to someone.  Seeking professional support and making positive changes in my life was pivotal to my recovery.
